    Lymphedema Prevention & Care Class (2nd Tuesday of each month)

    If you are facing surgery for cancer, or have been told by your doctor that you are otherwise at risk, this class can help you reduce your chances of developing Lymphedema. It will help you understand the lymphatic system and drainage pathways, know the risk factors in developing Lymphedema and learn ways to minimize that risk, learn skin care, first aid, simple exercises, self-measurement and self-lymphatic drainage techniques, recognize the symptoms of Lymphedema, warning signs of cellulitis and have information for early intervention, practice lymphatic exercise and drainage techniques for prevention and management, receive advice on the benefits and use of compression garments, if indicated, receive information about available community and internet resources. 2449 Summerfield Road, 2nd floor in Santa Rosa.
