2010 CRIMSON Physician Partnership Award
Congratulations are in order!!!
Alta Bates Summit has been awarded the 2010 CRIMSON Physician Partnership Award by the Advisory Board Company, a nationally recognized leader in performance improvement services. The award recognizes hospitals and their physicians who have effectively collaborated to improve clinical outcomes and benefit patients, while delivering care at lower costs. Alta Bates Summit and Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s HealthCare in Louisville, KY are the only two hospitals in the country to be given the award.
The presentation took place on April 15 at the CRIMSON Annual Performance Summit at the University of Texas, Austin. John Gentile, MD, Vice President Medical Affairs, spearheaded this new process and accepted the award on behalf of Alta Bates Summit. As part of the recognition a $5,000 contribution was made to the Alta Bates Summit Foundation.
In a letter to Dr. Gentile about the award, The Advisory Board said, “Our selection committee was impressed with the significant gains achieved by your organization as a result of physician engagement in performance improvement.”
