Geriatric and Medical Psychiatry Program
The Geriatric and Medical Psychiatry Inpatient Program is a 16-bed, locked, acute program that helps patients restore and maintain their optimal capacity for self care.
The program focuses on treating the whole person by providing psychiatric and medical care in a supportive and protective environment.
Program Components
- Primary Psychiatric Diagnoses
Patients are assessed for major depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, dementia with psychiatric symptoms, and cognitive disorders - Medical Diagnoses
Patients are assessed for hypertension, coronary artery disease, end-stage renal disease, skin and wound lesions, diabetes, and IV therapy - Daily Care
Daily care includes therapy, exercise, leisure activities, and arts and crafts.
