The Role of Family Support

Our program helps the family understand the nature of brain injury and its impact on the patient’s ability to function at home and in the community.

The patient and family are involved in developing treatment goals and a behavior management plan tailored to fit the individual’s specific needs.

During the patient’s rehabilitation stay, his or her family participates in conferences and counseling sessions to discuss progress, problems, and community support services.
