Specialized Team

Our specialized brain injury team works to provide the care and education necessary to reach and maintain functional goals following an acquired brain injury. The interdisciplinary team consists of:

• Social Workers
• Neuropsychologists
• Physical Therapists

The goal of rehabilitation is to maximize each patient’s potential for recovery and relearning, working in a safe environment with the least possible restrictions.

Experienced rehabilitation specialists emphasize:

• Progressive therapy techniques
• Extensive family education and involvement
• Consistent communication with patient and family

In addition, we offer such specialized services as a therapeutic aquatics program, comprehensive swallowing program, community reintegration, and a therapeutic home pass that gives patients the chance to practice hospital-learned skills at home.
