Flushing or washing expired or unwanted medicine down the drain is harming the San Francisco Bay. The wastewater treatment center cannot remove all medicines, but with your help, our Pharmacists are working together with you to protect the Bay.

You can safely dispose of old or unwanted medication* by taking them to either the Peralta or Milvia Outpatient Pharmacy. Please try to bring medication in the original containers, with your personal information marked out.

The San Francisco Bay and the fish in it will thank you!
