The Jordan Research and Education Institute (REDI) at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center was formed in early 2006. REDI's mission is to enhance the practice of medicine through cutting-edge research and education.

Through REDI, Alta Bates Summit physicians receive the administrative support they need to successfully conduct medical research in the community setting and to integrate such important work into their busy practice.

REDI’s well-trained staff offers complete, centralized management of research, assisting with everything from patient recruitment and enrollment, IRB submission and regulatory work, contracts and budgets, and completion of paperwork.
