Thunder Road Adolescent Treatment Centers, Inc.

    Short-term Inpatient Program
The short-term program is designed for youth between the ages of 13 and 19 who are involved in the habitual abuse of nicotine, alcohol, or drugs. Clients participate in family counseling, therapy groups, anger management and relapse prevention classes, 12-step programs, and gender-specific groups.

Long-term Residential Program and Day Treatment Services
The long-term program accepts referrals from county government agencies for youth who are involved in the chronic abuse of nicotine, alcohol, or drugs and who need to make fundamental improvements in their social, emotional and behavioral functioning. Clients participate in the same types of groups and program activities as short-term inpatient clients.

    Outpatient Services
Thunder Road’s comprehensive Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) meets 10 evening hours per week. The program combines individual, family and group sessions that focus on improving behaviors and recovery from the abuse of alcohol, drugs and nicotine.

Alameda County Probation – Camp Sweeney
Thunder Road provides substance abuse treatment services and support for youth who are involved in the juvenile justice programs at Camp Sweeney in San Leandro.

    Continuing Care Services
As young people transition from more intensive services, they have the option to participate in ongoing weekly support recovery services. Continuing care groups meet regularly and parents and caregivers are welcome to remain connected through Thunder Road’s alumni programs. Call us at (510) 653-5040 or visit the Thunder Road website.
