Markstein Cancer Education and Prevention Services is committed to providing the public with the information needed to understand the role that self-examination, early detection and adoption of risk-reducing lifestyle habits play in both preventing and treating cancer.

We provide outreach, education, free community cancer screenings and we offer support and educational tools to those touched by a diagnosis of cancer.

Cancer of the colon and rectum is the third most malignant cancer in California. Yet when detected early and treated promptly, colorectal cancer may be the most curable. Insurance covers the cost of this screening for most. Markstein Cancer Services is the only center in Northern California to offer free colorectal cancer screenings to uninsured and underinsured individuals!
