Operation Access
Operation Access collaborates with surgeons, pathologists, radiologists and other medical professionals at the Alta Bates Summit Medical Center to provide donated outpatient surgical care to uninsured people in our community.
Operation Access is a network of 60 community clinics, 16 other participating hospitals, and over 300 medical volunteers serving the six county Bay area.
Our staff of eleven coordinate a network of more than 550 volunteer surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists and medical technicians who provide surgery through 23 participating hospitals in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Patients are referred from 60 community clinics.
The Board of Directors and Advisory Council are comprised of prominent healthcare professionals, and community/business leaders.
Our Mission
Operation Access is a non-profit organization that mobilizes a network of medical volunteers, hospitals, and referring community clinics to provide low-income uninsured people access to donated outpatient surgeries and specialty care that improves their health, ability to work, and quality of life.
