Adult Inpatient Eating Disorder Program

The Adult Inpatient Eating Disorder Program offers a wide variety of support, education, and therapy for adults with anorexia and bulimia. Our program treats the individual as a whole: addressing body, mind, and spirit. We concentrate on nutritional needs as well as on the cognitive and emotional areas of the individual's life.

Our program incorporates highly skilled and compassionate therapists, nurses, and doctors who encourage patients to look beyond food issues to the core of their thoughts and beliefs that may have caused their disorder. We work as a team to provide the best quality of care in a safe and structured atmosphere.

The inpatient program includes access to psychiatrists, medical doctors, skilled psychiatric nurses, dietitians, and advance-degree psychotherapists. Our team approach ensures that each patient is seen as an individual and an essential participant in his or her own recovery.

Specialized treatment plans and goals guide patients through their individual stages of recovery. These include support through medical "refeeding", psychoeducation regarding illness and recovery, identification of emotional triggers, family systems/relationship dynamics, treatment of co-morbid conditions (e.g. Depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, etc.), and the development of healthy coping skills.
