The Ethnic Health Institute (EHI), a community service of Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, is engaged in coordinating health education, research, health provider training, and community outreach and awareness for the entire community, with a special focus on underserved and minority populations.

Mission Statement

We enhance the health and well being of all people in the community, focusing on the underserved and minority populations that experience disparities in healthcare and disease. We promote community health awareness, organizational alliances, and health-provider training, research, and education.
