Parking Structure
The design of the proposed parking structure is concrete with an open-air design, screened by trellis walls and vines.
The structure is located along Hawthorne Avenue at the southwest corner of Elm Street. It is built into the side of a hill and will be six stories high along the northern façade (nearest to Telegraph) and four stories tall from Summit Street.
The new parking structure will be adjacent to the existing Providence Garage on Summit Street, and allows vehicle circulation between the two garages.
There will be four points of access to the new parking structure: 1) from an extension of Elm Street from the west; 2) from Hawthorne Avenue from the north; 3) from Summit Street through the existing Providence Garage from the east and 4) from Telegraph Avenue from the west.
