    Environmental Impact Report

On Wednesday, May 19, 2010, the City of Oakland’s Planning Commission unanimously approved Alta Bates Summit Medical Center’s Summit Campus Seismic Upgrade and Master Facility Plan (Environmental Impact Report External Site).

Additionally, Sutter Health’s board of directors has approved the funding for the new patient care pavilion and parking structure. These are important milestones as we move toward building our Patient Care Pavilion, new parking structure and Emergency Department, comprising the first phase of the project as approved by the City.

Members of the Planning Commission applauded the design and the collaborative work of those involved in this three-year project. We’re extremely grateful for the assistance of many individuals, physicians and clinical staff who made tremendous contributions of time and experience to get us to this new milestone in this important project.
