Alta Bates Summit Medical Center is proud to provide three concierge waiting areas, or Family Resource Centers, designed for the comfort of our guests and visitors.

Alta Bates Family Resource Center
Located at the Alta Bates Campus in Berkeley, just inside the main hospital entrance doors, to the left. Located near the Women and Infants Lactation Center and the Antepartum Testing Program. Click on the link above for more information.

Merritt Pavilion Family Resource Center
Located at 350 Hawthorne Ave., 3rd floor, in Oakland near Surgery Services. Click on the link above for more information.

Providence Pavilion Family Resource Center
Located at 3100 Summit St. on the ground floor, in Oakland. The center is located near Carol Ann Read Breast Health Center, Alta Bates Summit Imaging Center and Markstein Cancer Education and Prevention Services. Click on the link above for more information.

The Family Resource Centers provide a quiet waiting area for family members who are related to patients in surgery or admitted to the hospital.

All are staffed with trained volunteers to help facilitate your visit and make each guest comfortable while waiting. In addition, they all provide free Wi-Fi, a resource-magazine library and a play area for kids.

We're pleased to be able to showcase these tech-friendly and elegantly appointed waiting areas, all designed for the comfort of friends and family members.
