    Alameda County Probation Programs

    Camp Sweeney

Thunder Road provides treatment services and support for youth who are struggling with substance abuse and related challenges while resident at Camp Sweeney. Camp Sweeney is a local, unlocked, 24-hour Alameda County Probation residential program for youth aged between 15 through 18 who are ordered by the Juvenile Court to be committed to the Camp.

Residents live in a large group environment characterized by a "positive peer culture", and individualized treatment plans are developed for each youth with goals related to specific behavioral and educational needs. The overall goal is to return each minor to his community as a positive and productive citizen.
