Outpatient Services
Intensive Outpatient Program
The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a comprehensive adolescent treatment program that meets 10 hours a week, for eight weeks, during the evenings. Youth may enter the program at any time. It combines individual, family and group sessions, focusing on chemical dependency issues. Parents or guardians also participate weekly in this program through multi-family and parent groups.
Each plan is individualized to meet the client's specific needs, and random urine drug screens assist clients in maintaining their sobriety. Clients are empowered to take an active role in their treatment plan and identify challenges and goals. Upon completion of the 8 weeks of treatment, families can participate in aftercare services on a weekly basis for up to 6 months.

Community Outpatient Program
The Community Outpatient Program (COPE) is a non-residential program open to MediCal eligible youth with co-occurring issues related to mental health and substance use living in Alameda County. The program is held weeknights and Saturdays. Clients are involved in individualized and group activities to address a variety of life skills. These activities are designed to target challenging behaviors and emotions and assist the client in learning how to manage and cope. Clients are empowered to take an active role in their treatment plan and identify challenges and goals.
Youth may join the program any time and the usual course of treatment will last six months. Because each client’s needs are unique, a full assessment is provided at the time of admission. Clients in this program may also be eligible to attend the aftercare groups one night per week once they complete the program.
