About Our Staff and School

A major cornerstone of Thunder Road's philosophy is our confidence in the help and support found within a variety of 12-Step networks throughout the country. Over the years, we have incorporated the best practices of social and medical model addiction programs into our treatment program designs. Thunder Road strives to be on the cutting edge of new treatment techniques and programs and incorporates these into our service delivery.

Staff

Our clinical staff includes psychiatrists, a pediatrician specializing in adolescent medicine, licensed social workers and marriage and family therapists and licensed nursing staff. Many counselors have degrees in behavioral sciences and/or are certified as drug and alcohol counselors.

School

Our on-site school is accredited and operated by the Alameda County Office of Education for the exclusive use of Thunder Road clients.

The school year includes an extended summer session. School credits earned at Thunder Road are fully transferable to the client's home school.
