    PUBLIC MEETING ON THE PROPOSED CHANGE IN CONTROL AND GOVERNANCE OF ADOLESCENT TREATMENT CENTERS, INC. d/b/a THUNDER ROAD AND TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY

    The California Attorney General is reviewing the proposed change in control and governance of Adolescent Treatment Centers, Inc. doing business as Thunder Road, a California nonprofit public benefit corporation, and transfer of the real property where Thunder Road is located. Thunder Road is a 50-bed chemical dependency recovery hospital and group home for adolescents. Adolescent Treatment Centers, Inc.'s sole corporate member is Sutter East Bay Hospitals, a California nonprofit public benefit corporation, doing business as Alta Bates Summit Medical Center. The “Membership Substitution and Donation Agreement" is between Adolescent Treatment Centers, Inc., Sutter East Bay Hospitals, Bay Area Community Services, Inc., a California nonprofit public benefit corporation, and Bay Area Community Services Housing Corporation, a California nonprofit public benefit corporation. The proposed transaction is being reviewed as required by Corporations Code sections 5920 et seq.

    The California Attorney General will conduct a public meeting concerning the proposed transaction on August 22, 2016, beginning at 11:00 a.m., at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, Summit Campus, South Pavilion, 3100 Summit St., Oakland, CA 94609. The purpose of the public meeting is to receive comments on the proposed change in control and governance of Adolescent Treatment Centers, Inc.

    Persons wishing to present their views orally at the public meeting may do so by submitting a sign-up sheet available at the public meeting, by sending an email to wendi.horwitz@doj.ca.gov by August 18, 2016, or by calling Wendi Horwitz at (213) 897-2178 by August 18, 2016. Any individual with a disability seeking reasonable accommodations to attend or participate in the public meeting or to obtain materials or information on the public meetings in an alternative format should contact Wendi Horwitz at least five days before the public meeting.

    The terms of the proposed transaction are set forth in a written notice to the California Attorney General. A copy is posted on Adolescent Treatment Centers, Inc.'s website or a CD of the written notice is available upon request by sending an email to wendi.horwitz@doj.ca.gov or by telephone at (213) 897-2178. A copy of the written notice of the proposed transaction is also available for public inspection at the front desk at Thunder Road, located at 390 - 40th Street Oakland, CA 94609.
